(Hebrew צדקיאל, Tzadqiel, "Justice of the Lord"), or Hesediel (חֶסֶדִיאֵל, Chesediel, "Grace of God"), is the archangel of freedom, benevolence, mercy, and the patron of all who forgive. ; He is also known as Sachiel, Zedekiel, Zadakiel, Tzadkiel and Zedekul. In rabbinic tradition he is considered the patron angel of mercy.

According to rabbinic writings, the angel Zadkiel belongs to the order of the Hashmallim (equivalent to the order of celestial dominions or dominions) and, according to some sources, he would be the head of that order; other sources mention Hashmal or Zacharael as chief. According to the Maseket Azilut, a 14th century Kabbalistic text, he would be co-responsible for the angelic order of the Shinanim, along with the angel Gabriel.
